Lets forget depression?

Lets forget the Depression part of a person with Bipolar Disorder and other mood disorders and say that he got only Mania all the time. So what kind of disease a psychiatrist will say he has like Schizophrenia, Delusional Disorder, Paranoidal Syndrome  etc?

Typically bipolar individuals with just Mania are Bipolar II, BP I is when they have more severe depressions.  Is this individual on an anti-depressent only?  That can throw us into just mania w/o a mood stabilizer.  Mania is not being Schizophrenic, delusional or paraniod, it is a part of bipolar disorder.  However, highly manic people can become delusional and also can slip into Schizo-effective disorder.  That is not schizophrenia but mirrors the symptoms of it.  A Schizophrenic brain is built different than a "normal" brain, including bipolar people.  Our brains are "normal" it is a disorder of the bio-chemistry part of the brain which is why our moods are so messed up.  Schizophrenics brains are wired differently than other brains.  Hope this helps.  Kristen
