all AD's bring mania/rapid cycling/mixed statres unless covered by a strong MS. However from experience it's better than paxil/seroxat say and of course better than any tricyclic. I read that BP pts prefer it as well as welbutrin, however i became manic myself after 3 weeks. there cipram/celexa/citalopram same company but weaker (double the dose of lexapro
