Loss of Effectiveness?

Do any of you find your medications lose effectiveness if you are withdrawn from them for whatever reason and go back on them shortly after?  Perhaps your doctor screwed up or you decided to stop taking them on your own and then changed your mind.  I have had this happen in the past with a medicine and heard of it happening to people before.  Is this due to building a tolerance to the said medication?

Yes I think you are right. I was taken off one of my meds and when I went back on the med, I had to increase dosage.  It could have been a tolerance or perhaps I just got worse from not being on it?????

Actually that happenned to me a few times and I think it just takes a while for your body to become adjusted to it again.
