Manic, slowly getting out of control

Well,

I'm going on about 30 or more hours of no sleep, about a half meal a day, and a sex drive out of my control. Trying to control this manic phase before it gets to out of control, but it currently controlling me. What do i do. I also currently ran out of Lamictal and money to buy it with. I don't want to get too much out of control but oh Gosh!!!

This is of concern as any mania you have will increase. Find a way for your psychiatrist to give you a prescription and see if you can get enough tablets from the pharmacy until you see them again. As for in healthcare coverage in general see if the medication is covered under the Patient Assistance Program. If not find out if you are eligible for Medicaid and if not, if your state has it you could work as little as an hour a month and be eligible for the Medicaid Buy in for Working People with Disabilities. Your psychiatrist should assign you a social worker to help you out with this and also I've put the link to independent centers in a variety of posts. They could explain to you your options regarding health care coverage.

I don't have a psychiatrist. I can't afford one. The school had the local health clinic to keep my refills going but i can't afford them either...

Well then best to go to an outpatient walk in clinic at a hospital. You would be eligible for emergency Medicaid which could transition to standard Medicaid which could provide coverage for both a psychiatrist and the medication.

I am unemployed w/no health insurance and I want to share some informaton regarding free or low cost health care. I go thru a state funded MHMR (mental health and mental retardation) clinic.  I'm sure most states if not all states offer a similar mental health service.  I get free access to a p-doc and free medication, some counties offer free indigent care, I am also eligible for this because presently I do not have a permanent home and I am staying with various family memebers and friends. I was denied Medicare because I do not have any underage children.  I have on more than one occassion gone to the hospital emergency room when having a meltdown and if you go to a "teaching" hospital, meaning they have students learning from hospital athmosphere, they will keep you and treat you for free.  If the hospital near you is a "non teaching" hospital, they  still cannot refuse to keep you until you  are stabilized and then release you.  Most hospitals will give you one prescription free.  Most of the churches will help to pay for you medication at least once anyway.  Not sure if this is nationwide or to my state, but, if you dial "211" a live person will help you find the places that will help you.   I certainly hopes this helps.  There is alot of help out there it is just being aware of where and who to go to.  Good Luck, Hey Jude dtainill ie
