Need help bipolar and pregnant

I am 11weeks pregnant.  I am bipolar and was taking litmital 200 and neurtion(sp) 1200.  Dr said I can't take those because they are not safe, I went off the litmital and he told me to wean myself off the neurtion.  He gave me a med seroquel and i hate this med because he knocks me out but it worked for me when I was pregnant last time two years ago.  I haven't started yet, I got so many things going on in my life and it is driving me insane.  So with so many things going on, I am having a hard time.  I am taking the neurtion and trying to get off of it but having a hard time.  I got myself down to a little but I am very sad, and getting obessed with issues?  Does any one become obessed when they get off their meds.  should i take the seroquel?  I hate it though.

Seroquel is an antipsychotic with a mood stabilization effect. You would need to be on some kind of medication to keep things stable until you have the baby so if you can't tolerate Seroquel ask your psychiatrist what other medications might be safe. There are other antipsychotics that are FDA approved as mood stabilizers and other mood stabilizers but only your psychiatrist would know which ones are safe to take.
