Noise and motion as a trigger

Who has noise and motion as a trigger. I commented earlier about this on a member's post, but I wanted to know more about this subject.  If I hear constant loud noise or alot of different noises at the same time I get upset.  Also, If there is a lot of movement around me I get upset.  For example--my kids going in different direction around house, my dog following me, tripping over my dog, husband walking towards me to say something, but I can't hear him because tv is so loud, phone ringing, noises from outside, and  all this at the same time, not one after the other.  Or my brain perceives it that way.  Why does that bother me.  THose are such simple and normal things that happen.

Lights & especially video games trigger me. I can't even look at the TV when the kids have those on!

It is something especially about noises that have the same loudness with breaks in it. All the noise at one time like you are talking about, I don't know how anyone could not be triggered. It is not simple to me, I am right there with you. I would unplug the phone, turn off the tv, close the windows or doors to keep out as much sound as I could, chase the dog in the other room, and make the children go outside and play or play in one area or something. I would be the one screaming, stop it!!! That is on a good day. On a bad day I would go to my bedroom, lock the door, go to bed and cover my ears. I can't handle that either, so you are not the only one. If I go to a store and there are crowds, especially at Christmas, I have to get out. It aggitates me and I get really angry feeling.

Yep, me to.  The telly, the washing machine, the tumble drier, the kids, noisy cars, noisy shops - I find it a real assault on the senses, my second eldest son is the same.  Like RJ233 on a really bad day I lock myself away with a duvet over my head.

I'm not sure whether this is a bp thing though, surely everyone feels the same when there is too much noise or movement.

me too. noises can actually make me physically nauseous, radio, music, tv. etc. if there's a lot of activity i would have to ask them all to stop because i wouldn't be able to actually hear anything. My kids are fascinated that i always have the volume on the tv so low and have to turn it off or down on the commercials.

It's almost like your senses are more acute sometimes, isn't it?  I'm not sure if it is bipolar or related to anxiety associated with bipolar.  Some people with autism have the same problems.  It's some kind of brain cootie.
