Yes paranoya happens quite frequently not only with anxiety but with bi-polarism.

I do that all of the time!!!! (make my boyfriend check the house because I am paralyzed by fear) ... also, when I am like that, I am afraid of the dark and believe in ghosts/demons (which is waaaaaaay out in left field to me normally).

Well i have been bi polar manic for a long time and i have slept with a loaded gun next to my bed for 15 years now. I guess id call that paranoid. I have always been paranoid, just part of bi polar. Coming off a manic episode for me is usually a very relaxing time, i usually finally sleep.

If going to the hospital is what is best then you need to go.  You need to have someone stabilize you on medication correctly so that you have a chance to get better.  I wish you luck sweety.

I am having such a horrible night! I think I am defenitly having a mixed episode! I feel so terrible! Also the paranoia is coming back. I am so bad off I had to call crisis intervention...hopefully this passes otherwise I might end up in the hospital again. :-(

Yep definately, I become nervous that someone is in the house and make my husband get out of bed to check several times lol. I also become paranoid that I am going to be put in hospital by my husband and that people are looking at me strange, etc.ect and so it goes on. Even though I am aware of it, it doesnt make it any easier or stop it from happening. For me its part of my mixed episode. take care and try not to panic about everything, its new to you and it can feel terrible just try and keep on top of the depression, hopefully your medication will stop this from being to bad but as they say what goes up must come down.

My mom who is Bipolar also told me it could be part of the manic. Also my group therapy leader who is a psychologist also told me the same thing. You also say the same thing so I guess it must be part of the bipolar manic. I wasn't sure I have never experianced such intense paranoia before. I am glad I got it clairified though. Again thank you. :-)

Well this has been my first manic episode so I am just still a little confused about it. It is a strange experiance and since it is my first one I have no idea what it is like to come down from one either. Thanks for your response. :-)
