Thank you for the responses. I might have to look into free clinics.
I was onced E.R'ed for an unrelated event and even with no health insurance and the documentation I showed in regards to my income--they still tacked a $27,000 dollar bill and no Medicaid.
Wal-Mart only does certain medications for $4 dollars, and the generic one I was prescribed was $111.
hi. i don't have bi-polar but i have paranioa and see things and hear things alot. i do get very anxious to the point of panic attacks but the best thing i found was to keep busy. i found putting an earphone in and having music on distracts you but not 2 because you get paraniod of what you can't hear. the thing i do at night is anywhere i go i put all the lights on to reasure yoursefl there isnt there. i dont get treatment any more either. and i've never had medication. but i found self help for anxiety books my physciatrist gave me helped. and writing down everything that makes tou anxious when it happens. kind of like a diary can help too. i hope something out of that helps.
There are physc meds available in generics and on the $4 list at Walmart. I don't have any insurance and go thru a free/low cost mental health clinic. Google free/low cost mental clinic and follow the links to find a location near you. I see Physc-doc once a month, case worker once a month and get all my medications for $60/mo. Depending upon income, you may qualify for free services. Send me a message if you need help in finding a free clinic in your area....there is help available and you really need to get on your medication.
Yes those symptoms are of concern and there should be a way you could find health care coverage such as Medicaid that would pay for this treatment. If you go to the E.R. of the hospital you could be eligible for emergency Medicaid which would then transition into standard Medicaid. That is one very workable option. There should be some free clinics as well or ones that charge on a sliding scale if you are not Medicaid eligible.
