Should I try ECT?

My Psychiatrist suggest ECT for me. I'm hesitating. I'm not respond well to meds. My depression is kindly resistant. I tried many different meds and formula. So, choices  become more narrow.

Hi. Last year I had a lot of experience with ECT.
My last treatment was Nov 2015.
I'm still suffering major memory gaps. Blocks of time completely wiped out.
Plus my regular doctor said I have borderline high blood pressure now. Something I've never had in my life.
My husband said my first few treatments were necessary because I was comotose.
That may have been due to the extremely high doses of meds I was on in hospital.
Also my insurance was charged $30,000 each partial outpatient ECT.
Unless you're desperate, my advice is NO ECT.
Keep trying drug combinations.

I did five years of right sided unilateral ECTs.  Nothing ever worked for as far as meds were concerned.  ECT changed my life for the better.  However, I have memory loss and it affects everyone differently.  I would'nt shoot it down yet.
