Sleepy not speedy

My name is Mary, I went to my Psy. and she put me on Abilify. She explained tl me some of the side affects & one was not being able to sit still & restlessness. Well i have been on it for three days and have done nothing but sleep!!!!  Kind of worried because i was on Seroquel at one point and it did the same thing but i stopped taking it because i was unable to care for my 4 kids. Dont want to go thru this again But just want my bi-polar under control. Please help?

Abilify is horrible... DO NOT RECOMEND IT and also coming off of them is a NIGHTMARE.  Seroquel has a 2 dif forms of the drug ...a time release and instant release (still works all day).  I believe the time release works better and take it at night before bed..  get a GREAT night sleep and you don't feel drowsy next day.  All the antipsyc drugs cause weight gain.. so beware.   If I had to choose one or other...def seroquel.   Abilify can cause long term brain and muscle effects that are irreversible. .  Read up on abilify withdrawl.   Good luck!

Oh and the sleepiness will go away eventually.  I was more sleepy at first, now I just sleep really well at night.  I sent you another post on the other part of your question!
