Stress and divorce

My husband and I separated in July because I discovered his affair. He said he hasn't loved for a long time and doesn't regret what he's done . I still love him and as you can imagine I am devastated. I'm usually hypo manic  and hen I swing to sadness. But this has sent me into a deep dark hole. I'm just curious about other stories from people who have gone through divorce. What's so difficult is when others label me as a drama queen ( I'm definitely not) and cannot see how I have suffered . There isn't a way to make them understand what happens. I'm sitting on the edge most days .
Thanks ahead of time .....Laura

I went through a divorce after a marriage of about 26- 28 years if you count the time it took to get divorced!  I lost everything! BUT!  I kept my head up and believed there had to be something better out there just waiting for me.  I did it one day at a time.  Now, I have been married to my best friend for 10 years!  We do not argue.  It is incredible! AND I appreciate my first marriage which was all arguing because that man helped me to appreciate a good man and value the love we have.  OTHERWISE I may have simply taken him for granted!  Set short term goal... and long term goals... I don't know about you, but had I not believed that God is my Heavenly Father who loves me more than I can possibly know what love is... I felt him Hold my hand.  Sometimes I had to just close my eyes and hold on to him.  He built my faith and he got me through it all.  Sometimes I rejected him too.  But he was always a prayer away from me.  I hope this helps to strengthen you!  By the way... I met my husband on the internet!

I hear you!  People in general get sick of dealing with me because I have more than usual baggage.  My current divorce is devastating for me.
New town, new doctor, and lots of debt.  All I want to do is sleep (Seroquel) and I think the family members who are helping me have grown tired of me, too.   Very lonely life a bipolar leads isn't it?

Dear Lauradell, sometimes the only people who understand us are others who fight Bipolar disorder. I had one if the roughest times of the last 5 years just this week. Someone right here on this Forum knew exactly what to say & what I needed to feel whole again.
