Tegretol and the tongue

by bastet56, Apr 21, 2009 10:25AM
Has anyone who is or has been, on Tegretol, ever had sore tongue? I have no upper molars so I know I am not biting it, but WoW is it sore along the sides! What did you do about it? I cannot quit this med as I am running out of options. I know that there is numbing spray that you can use in your throat but that stuff makes me retch. Maybe gum numbing med? Any thoughts out there?

I found out that the tegretol is not causing the tongue problem. I have burning tongue syndrome, most likely caused by many things in my life. It's the pits. Hope none of you ever get it.
