What is going to with my roommate?

What is going to with my roommate?

Sorry my question looks like this, I first posted on Yahoo Answers. Thanks for looking and helping!

My roommate, a 20 year old male, is bipolar and has some other physical health issues I don't think I should discuss. Anyway, he hasn't slept in a couple days and he's mumbling to himself and when he does lay down he's talking in his sleep saying really weird things. Also, when we walked into the house a little while ago he was laying down and he had his eyes half open and was talking but didn't remember doing it. What the heck is going on? What can or should I do? Should I call his case manager? If you need more info or have question please state so and I will edit my post and give that info. Thanks!

Additional Details
When he was talking in his sleep he seemed like he was somewhere between sleep and awake, he was laying down and his eyes were part open but partially closed at the same time, sorry, redundancy. Anyway, I did call his case manager and she said it was good to have called and she's going to come over and talk with him today to find out what's going on. There is a lot of emotional and physical stress going on right now for him, we're moving, he's worried about his social security claim, he's worried about his boyfriend's mental issues, etc. I don't know if maybe it's throwing him manic with psychotic features or what. It's just weird, unnerving, and potentially dangerous if he gets violent. So.. yeah. Thanks all for answering!

I also wanted to mention I've asked twice about his Abilify and both times he said he was still taking it.

Abilify is used as a mood stabilizer but was first approved as an antipsychotic and that's its general use. If a person is talking to themselves without knowing why that could mean they are psychotic but any changes that occur during sleep are different. You could not obtain confidential information from his case manager but its good you informed them and they should be able to follow up. As for his Social Security claim there are agencies that could help with that such as the independent living centers (there is one in every county of every state) as well as other non profit agencies and if he has concerns his case manager should help him with that as that is a crucial issue.
