Hi, I have issues with anger/rage that comes on so quickly I have no way to control it.  The doc perscribed Risperdal that is also a antiphyscotic and is suppose to work especailly well against sudden anger.  Honestly, I could not tell you if it works because I do not take it.  I have a thing against antiphycotics but I do take Lamictal, a mood stabilizer.  You may want to give Risperdal a try.

I am so sorry to hear you're having  problems. I completely understand because I have had similar problems with meds in the past.
I would suggest talking to your doc and asking for a change in meds or see if there is another drug that you can take in addition to combat the mood problems.  I take 100mg of Pristiq and 2 mg of Abilify.  I didn't have the anger issue with  the Pristiq, but I needed the Abilify to increase the effectiveness of the Pristiq because it just wasn't enough to pull me through my depression.
So, First: Talk to your doctor.  Second: See if you can talk to a therapist (this has been a life saver for me )   Third:  Try to stay positive and when you get angry try turing around, taking a deep breath, or walking a way if you have to.

I hope this helps a little bit.  If you ever need anyone to talk to...please don't hesitate to contact me.

Take care  and   Be safe.  Things will get better...I promise   :)

Zyprexa is an antipsychotic that is FDA approved as a mood stabilizer as well. Extreme anger and other mood changes can be part of mania which it should be treating as well. There are many other options as regards mood stabilizers so you should keep track of what's going on and when these changes occur including anger (unless its in reaction to a specific event) especially if they occur on a regular basis on the mood tracker and print out the results for your psychiatrist so they can see what's going on and how to best treat you.
