antidrepressant and bipolar
i just was diaognosed with bipolar friday the doctor said i would have to weaned off effexor and started me on 50mg of seroquel at bedtime
You and I are in the same boat my friend. Weaned off Effexor and started 150 mg of seroquel at bedtime. It knocks me out in about two hours and makes me feel "stoned" until about 2-3PM. Then I get amped foe the evening, but have a real difficult time concentrating. It is also making me extremely irritable with my family. Can't stand loud noises initiated by others. Not liking it at all.
As an aside, I have been being treated relatively unsuccessfully for 15 yrs+ for depression and ADHD. History of depression is strong on Maternal side.

Sounds like a plan. You and your doctor may have to work on finding the best balance of medication. Try to be patient, but don't hesitate to let your doctor know if you have any concerns.
