Hi

I use when needed clonazepam for irritability, I have Bipolar Disorder and I am on Lithium and Seroquel also, and Prozac when depressed, clonazepam when either low or high as an extra weapon to curb my snappy head. problem i find if used too regularly when depressed is it can make me worse.

I take it on a regular basis, although not daily. It's more of an as needed thing. I take it when I am agitated. It really does help a lot. I can feel the agitation go away within a half hour, and I'm sweet as pie until it wears off again. It's a shame it doesn't last.

I do not take it on a daily basis, but it is a medicine usually given to me during mania hospitalizations.,

I was originally prescribed Klonopin for anxiety episodes and still continue to take it for dystonic spasms for tardive dystonia. It is helpful for both. It has somewhat of a mood stabilization effect and given that I have schizoaffective and require a mood stabilizer I am somewhat helped by it but the main mood stabilizers I take are Catapres and Lovaza. Klonopin can be prescribed as an adjunct mood stabilizer but rarely has an effect as a full mood stabilizer as its main property is an an anti-anxiety medication.
