I've only been on Geodon since August; 60 mg at first, now 100 mg. At first I felt a little better, now I don't see much of a change. I'm just following my doctor's orders at this point.
I take Geodon for psychosis and mania. I don't know about the rest but it works great for me. I respond to it really well.
I don't have Bipolar 1 but Geodon helps my depression for sure along with of course my psychosis since it's an atypical antipsychotic. It's FDA approved to treat Bipolar mania and my therapist told me even though it's not FDA approved to treat depression it still has a mood stabilizing effect. It might not be working right for you as medications work differently for everyone. I've learned that when people have Bipolar Disorder they're usually on an antidepressant and/or mood stabilizer along with an antipsychotic if they're on one.
