Iladvocate,
I take a prescription sleep aid now.  Can't recall the name, the seroquel and the resperidone really messed me up phychologically.  Days forgotten, promises not remembered and remembering, without going to the other side of the house where hubby is sleeping I can't remember the name of sleep aid...grrr.  My typing has gone to pot as well can't remember where all the keys are.  My dad at 85 still types on a manual arount 95wpm so I learned early to type. I miss my mind. :)

zzzmykids.....mostly gone, we are alone, yippy...but miss babies

Seem to be slightly mood altered but not really manic.  It is sleep altered.  I need, as we all do as bp 7 to 8 hours of continuous sleep. Lately it hasn't been that.  I was too exhaused yesterday to wait until ten o'clock to go to bed and fell asleep before taking my new meds/old ones...depakoate and lithium.  so when I woke this morning at three I took them, not too many hours off.
The kids have mainly moved out, the wedding moved to here in April and my Dad is not putting my Mom away by herself in a dank, depressing hole to finish out her days so life is good.
Maybe a little manic becaus of the teaching but not high.
Last night hubby left doors open and I am itching from head to toe with mequito bites!!!! It's what woke me up....grrrrrr.
So to all friends, I am good as good as the rest of us when stable.

Sincerely,
zzz

opus and ilad :)

Yes people always asked why I was up late at night and it seems part of the answer was I was rapid cycling. I finally got two normal nights of sleep after years of being up until 3 A.M. but as this medication hasn't been used clinically as a mood stabilizer yet I'll let my psychopharmocologist decide. If you are experiencing insomnia or sleep deprivation report it to your psychiatrist. If its from the bipolar they would adjust your treatment but if its just general insomnia you could ask about Rozerem an FDA approved sleep aide which adjusts the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive, among other options.

I'm sometimes up around that time just because I go to sleep at 4PM.  I sometimes sleep eight hours until 12AM but not often as I'm usually sleeping 10 or 12 hours.
