back on meds

since i started seeing this psychiatrist that im seeing now ive been trying a series of medication. i did well on 100 mgs of zoloft, but i used to sweat sooo much i would be drenched if it was just kinda hot & i had a lot of night sweats. just recently ive tried prozac, celexa & now im on 100 mgs of wellbutrin. my biggest problem i face is, ill get really upset about something or just really pissed. every mood i have is like 5 x as extreme as it should. being really happy isnt such a bad thing, but crying all day & night & lashing out at ppl for dumb stuff, is just not cutting it for me. does n e 1 have a reason for me to be optimistic about wellbutrin?

If your moods vary then you might have bipolar instead of depression. Bipolar disorder is treated with a full mood stabilizer:

Generally instead of an anti-depressent. Don't make any medication changes on your own but do speak to your psychiatrist about this. Keep a mood tracker here and bring the results to them. If you do have bipolar and need an adjunct (additional) anti-depressent though Wellbutrin is the least likely to enduce mania but you would need a mood stabilizer as well. Speak to your psychiatrist about this.

Uh I guess go into it not thinking one way or the other on it and if it works good then be optimistic about it.  It's not like every med will work exactly the same anyway.
