I have been diagnosed with bipolar I for 39 years and like to describe myself as the most experienced manic person ever. This is because it has been so long, and also because I am very aware and thoughtful about my symptoms. Also, I have had a good psychiatrist for 28 years. I can identify a number of symptoms immediately when a manic attack occurs, and my wife is sharp in noticing them too.
You are SO not the Lone Ranger, sorry to say. My best friend's daughter is bi-polar. She's 30 now & been thru hell and back because she wasn't properly diagnosed for years. Then they found her hormones were all outta balance, causing a lot of symptoms similar to those of bi-polar disorder. Also had a neighbor whose daughter was bi-p...@ only 12.
If you check with your doctor, the local hospital, etc., you may find there's a support group to try out. Glad you found this site. I have HepatitisC, am awaiting release of a drug treatment, and was blessed the night I found MedHelp. Was searching the 'Net for research news & here is where I landed.
Some say there's no God....I know otherwise. Blessings to you!
