Yeah, but don't assume your daughters are bipolar. It could be hormones just like you said! shawn
Learn, learn, learn. Bipolar is not a thing to be ashamed of, it's just another medical condition like diabetes. Your body does not make the right chemicals to stabilize your moods, just like diabetics don't make enough insulin.
Personally, I was so very very thankful for a dx and to know what was wrong with me and that there is help out there. Now I take my antidpressants and live my life like nothing's wrong. This is not the end of the world, but a brand new happier beginning!
G ather up lots of information on bi polar and just tell them. It will be ok but first get a better understanding of bi polar yourself so you can answer their questions and you can tell them your treatment options. I am bi polar been on meds and therapy for 7 years now.I am nice and stable and normal. the hardest thign for us bi polars is to stay on our meds. I fought the dx along time but I paid a terrible price for my denial. so now I take my meds and get on with living great..
Let me know how it tursn out with you and your daughters.
