     It would depend. There are specific income limits for Public Assistance, Medicaid and Food Stamps. If a person is working and their state has it they could qualify for the Medicaid Buy in for Working People with Disabilities if they are otherwise over the limit. If you are unable to work and have a qualifying disability you might be eligible for SSI or if you have worked enough years SSDI. All of these benefits are nationwide but can vary from state to state. There is a specific office that addresses the first 3 benefits in each county of each state and depending on the population more than that size. You can google "Iowa Department of Health Assistance".
