getting off geodon

by BRITTANY3206, Dec 19, 2008 05:52PM
I am trying to get off geodon, and I have gone from 80 to 20 mg no problems, no side effects at all. When I try to stop taking the 20 mg I just don't sleep at all. I toss and turn all night. Is there anything I can take to sleep? I bought Simply sleep which contains Dipenhydramine HCI. I just need to be able to sleep so I can still function enough for work.

As always the first question is have you spoken to your doctor about the lack of sleep?

There are drugs which can assist in the sleep issues but they need to be balanced - what has your doctor prescribed to replace the Geodon?  This might be contributing to the sleeplessness as well.

Its important to speak to doctors when you hit these problems, they are the best placed to advise on treatment and side effects
