here we go again, again

Hi. It's 4:30 in the morning and I just posted "here we go again" yesterday? day before? I was hypomanic for like a month, then I was depressed for a day or two, now it's 4:30 in the morning and I think I'm manic again. This is a rapid cycle, even for me, and I'm not sure how much more I can take! My poor husband is being dragged through this, when he has problems of his own. I don't see the doctor till next week, but this is starting to worry me a little. I've been making "life-changing" decisions lately, and I want to control myself so I don't keep doing this while I'm not myself, which I don't even know anymore. I don't have anyone to call at this hour. Is anyone out there?

Thanks for responding. I just woke up after a couple hour nap. I'm feeling pretty crappy, but I'm not going to take one today. I guess I didn't even think of asking my doctor to switch meds, because I was afraid of feeling bad again. Yeah. Talking to ALL my doctors is the best bet. This *****.

Provigil can be activating. This sounds like what is happenning here but if its prescribed for a physical disability don't change it but ask your doctor to change you to something else. It sounds as if it is causing you to become manic and disrupting your sleep cycle.

I'm pretty sure this is the cause: my GP put me on Provigil for the last couple of months. When I cut down my dose is when I got depressed, and when I take them later in them later in the day, I can't sleep. I should probably stop taking them, cuz I think their making me manic, but I feel SO crappy if I don't take them. Ugh!

It's prescribed for CFS, which I've had for a year and a half. Don't say it was depression, because I was NOT depressed for that year and a half, the entire time, anyway. I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia about a year ago, and chronic fatigue is one of the symptoms, along with extremely low BP, among other things. This is almost too much to bare.
