klonopin

i currently take klonopin .5mg  for anxiety as well as serouquel 50 mg for sleep and prozac 40 mg. but i get the most relief from the klonopin( i.e irritability, loss of sex drive, anxiety, and general over all better more stable mood) is this normal and can klonopin be used as a mood stabalizer

Klonopin can work as a mood stabilizer although generally its an anti-anxiety medication. Prozac is an anti-depressent. Seroquel at that dose would be effective for sleep but not enough to have a mood stabilization effect. Ask your psychiatrist if you want to know more.

I'm on 2mg of Klonopin a day, but I use it as an anti-anxiety. Before I was diagnosed with BP, and was only taking that medication, it had very negative effects. Combined with actual mood stabilizers though, it works great.
