lithuim and weight gain

i take 800 mg of lithuim, 60mg of citalopram for my dipolar II disorder and 125mg of levothyroxine for my underactive thyrod
i seem to have problems with my sex drive i never want it
could it be the meds

Citalopram is generic for Celexa, that's what I take.  It's an AD/antianxiety med and it can really mess up your sex life.  Any of them can that contain both.

I was on Lithium for almost 2 yrs and I can tell you it can certainly screwup your sex drive.  I went from 20-30 minutes of bliss to 10 minutes of strain too.  The longer you take it the less you will care if you ever have sex again.  I am obsessive about sex and my dr had to take me off of it so I went to Risperdal.  It was a nice alternative after the transfer period.  It kept the voices from getting me nuts.  I'm on Invega now because the Risperdal ruined my blood pressure and sugar levels.  Being diabetic sux rox but I'll live with it if I don't have to hear them telling me I'm scum all the time.   Shane

Anything can affect your sex drive.  Possible causes -- more stress at work, money probs, a physical injury, a bunch of depression.  Lithium can make you tired.  Citalopram sounds like an anti-anxiety/sleep med, which could also make you poopy.
