my husband was on oxycontin for chronic pain...xanax to help with anxiety/sleep....and lamictal for bp disorder. It made him appear drunk. he couldn't keep his eyes open, he slurred his speech. he didn't realize any of this was happening to him. he felt normal, just "a little sleepy" I don't know if this helps you any or not
