mood swings

Sir,

I am a 3rd year engineering student with a very bright academic record.

I am very moody and sometimes i talk a lot and sometimes dont like to even say hi to friends and i dont see any particular reason for it..it sometimes affect my image in the public and they feel i am an egoist but the truth is otherwise...the people who know me actully know that i underestimate myself...

so i would be very helpful to you if you can suggest me some remedy for these problems ..i must tell you that i already had a very bad depression phase and i had almost  6 months of treatment from a professional psychologist but right now i am not taking any medicines...

If you feel this is a major problem in your life then you may want to consider medication.  You have seen a physcologist and perhaps that helped.  Medication is not a cure all.  Perhaps you could put sticky notes on your mirror each morning with affirmations to yourself, (I am worthwhile), I am good at what I do, I am smart, I love myself.) Self-esteem builders.  A lot of the medication I take are mood stabilizers and replace energy I don't seem to have.  It may be part of your personality that you don't always speak to everyone and unless it is a major problem it doesn't need fixing.  If the depression hits, you might consider medication short term, it is worth a try.  Good luck
