please help

My partner and i were trying for a baby without success, now he has turned round and said he never wants children and is getting a vasectomy. he is scared because he has rapid cycling bipolar. What are the chances of having a child with bipolar?

Everyone in my father's side of the family except a select few have bipolar disorder, the rest have schizo related disorders. I have schizophrenia. Depends on how strong the genes are that he has.

I believe, from what I have heard, that if one parent has bipolar a child has a 25% chance of having bipolar.
