Yes I've had issues with self medicating, but have learned that drugs/alcohol are not conducive to stability

I am currently 23 days sober off narcotics and opiates! However after much help from my psychologist and doctor I seem to have leveled out a lot. Much like Mo above my medicine is working quite well now!

I  am 38 and have struggled with drug and alcohol addictions my whole life. I've heard it is pretty common with BP. I am 31/2 years sober now but was feeling more and more crazy until my diagnosis about 6 months ago. Seem to have meds worked out and much better now.- Monique
