seroquel withdrawal

hello. I have been on seroquel for maybe a year. I've taken different doses but lately it's like it is accumulating in my system and making me extremely sleepy. I was on 300 mg, then went to 200 mg and that helped. Soon, I went down to 100 mg due to the fatigue. It got to the point where I wasn't waking up. I am always groggy in the mornings but it started being all day and night. I drive a lot for my job and I wasn't paying any attention at all. I even swayed when talking to people at work. I went off of it on Wednesday. First time ever I've gone off a medicine without talking to my doctor first. I was too tired really. I called but forgot to say I was quitting it. For 2 days I was extremely hot or cold and it changed every few minutes. (I was scared and awake so I called my doctor and will see her tomorrow.) I could not sleep at all and was very restless. I slept one night but now I'm back to not sleeping. I am also itching so freaking bad. Everywhere. I feel like a crackhead or something. Anyone know how long this lasts?
Oh, I am bipolar II and am still taking depakote.
Thanks.

Namaste,

I hope your appointment with hyour psychiatrist went well and you were able to come to a resolution to this Seroquel issue.

I can offer much advice since I was only on Seroquel for about 3 months and the only side effect I had was 40 pounds in weight gain. That's why I discontinued it.

When I did stop taking it, I did it "cold turkey" without any side effects.
