switching meds

ive been taking a series a meds for the past year, but ive always done best on 100 mgs of zoloft ..my only problems is getting really bad night sweats & when i sweat because of the heat im DRENCHED in sweat. so i went down & have been decent on 50 mgs. i recently have gone to see a psychiatrist & he switched me to 20 mgs of prozac..i dont feel too much of a difference..other than my dizzy spells after the first couple days...but im still my same emotional i self...having crying spells every couple days...then soon bouncing back from it being happy as ever, confused at myself for even acting that way & end up shaking it off...its been 2 weeks....is it possible im still reacting to the switch or is this how its probably gonna be?

i was suppose to go back & see him in 10 days from the last day i saw him but due to money problems & my co pay being so or much i cant go back for another month. so ill probably be done with the prescription before i even go back & see him. but my main concern was if my crying spells could be a reaction from switching meds. cuz my sister (who's an lpn) said i was suppose to get weened off the zoloft instead of just instantly switching...i just feel like im going crazy most times & get mad at myself for gettingt so upset about things...like i totally shouldnt be upset at all

Two weeks is probably not enough time to judge but do keep in touch with your psychiatrist about it. There is also a Mood Tracker here you might want to add to see how things change on a daily basis and you could bring that to your psychiatrist and see what they say.
