I've been on Xanax 3mg a day for 5 years, how hard is it going to be to get off it and what should I expect.

i stopped xanax cold turkey in one day but i was on 0.375mg only. so i would say wean off slowly and keep yourself busy. try to take any natural substitute like herbs etc... to help you sleep. pdocs say one shouldn't exceed 0.75 otherwise it's addictive.

good luck
