Cockatiel Bird Snacks?

What are a few human/people food Cockatiels can eat as snacks? What are a few things that I should avoid feeding him? We have real bird food, but I was wondering what snacks I could feed it, to be a little bit of a treat for him.

I work with wild birds so don't know much about pet birds. I did work at an avian vet clinic for awhile and we did offer "human" treats to the parrots. Mostly they got fresh fruit and veggies with an occasional treat of frozen waffle.

I looked up food treats for cockatiels specifically. There are several. You can google the topic. I found a site - Let's Talk Birds - that had a great list of regular food for cockatiels. Some things like yam had to be cooked first, not fed raw. Take a look online for some ideas.

i have two cockatiels and getting a third. carrots, broccoli, spinach, apple, banana and the list goes on no salt or seasoning. some like things cooked others like it raw. you can go to talkcockatiel online and find out more info
