1.5 months on period while on Depo

i have been on my period for almost 2 months now and i am currently on the Depo shot. i have taken the shot before and didnt have this happen. is it normal to be on it this long? i feel uncomfortable alot of the time because i feel as if i smell down under and having sex has become a little uncomfortable because of it also. need some advise or something, due for a second shot it about 2.5 weeks.

Thank you very much. The bleeding gets heavy on some days, but that is when I do feel most tired. But I will let my gynecologist know what all is going on and see what can be done

Hello,
Depo may cause irregular bleeding and/or prolonged bleeding .The response varies in every woman. It may take about 3 months for a woman's body to adjust to Depo Provera. If the bleeding is heavy it may be suggested to consult a gynecologist. She may give some medications to control it. Heavy and prolonged bleeding can lead to weakness, hypotension and anemia. Consult a gynecologist. I hope it helps.
