3 days late on period. or am i?

i take birth control and normally my periods are at the end of the month. but last birth control pack (end of september beginning of october) i had messed up my pills. (i know i didn't start my first ever pack on the correct schedule like the directions say, my doctor honestly didn't tell me there was a specific day i was supposed to start it on.) so i ended up getting my period on october 11th. the month of september i got it on the 27th. so they were only 2 weeks apart because i had messed up my pills. now its november, since i got my period in october on the 11th i'm supposed to be expecting it on the 11th again of november? or am i supposed to disregard october and go off of the months before then and expect it at the end of the month? i'm not exactly sure if i'm late because of last months period being messed up.
