Active or inactive pills when starting BC?

Hi everyone

I'm new here, so hopefully someone can help.

I recently started seeing someone and I'm waiting for the first day of my period to start on birth control (Femodene) since I will be protected immediately then.

However, when I do start my period, do I start with the first active pill, or do I start with the first inactive pill?

You always start a new pack of pills with the first active pill. Taking the inactive (placebo) pills is not going to protect you. You should still use condoms for backup for at least 2 weeks after starting to make sure that you're covered. Unless you want to risk possibly not being protected yet.
