Aviane vs. Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo.

Hi everyone.

Alrighty, well, after 4 years of being on my trusty Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo, I'm switching birth control due to my mom's change in insurance. I am now taking Aviane. I decided that if by the end of this month, I'm not happy with it, I'm just changing back to OTC lo, but I was just wondering what I can expect from Aviane - namely regarding sex drive. With OTC-lo, I had the highest sex drive of all the girls I know put together. I was horny ALL the time. Sometimes it was even irritating to my boyfriend.

But I'm worried about that changing with Aviane. I've only been on it five days - I know, way too soon to tell any differences - but I'm already feeling a lack of sex drive. With the OTC lo, I was horny even the week after my period. Well, my period ended Friday and I haven't felt the slightest twinge of horniness ever since.

Also, I feel very bloated, and I've gained three pounds in the last week. Could this be attributed to the changing in birth control?

If anyone has reviews on Aviane, especially after switching from a pill they really liked, please let me know. This is pretty important to me. I need birth control no matter what since I'm sexually active, but I want to be sure it gets along with my body. So, any help is appreciated!

I just started Aviane 4 days ago and I'm worried about the same thing...but this is my first time starting any kind birth control. I'm exactly the same way with the sex drive, and i'd like to keep it that way...but i dont really seem horny at all since about the second day of me taking it.

Also, i'd like to know if you would recommend OTC lo if I decide to change birth controls?
