Birth Control Pills for Hormone Imbalance
I have been on my period for over 45 days on and off.  I went to my  GP and she felt it was stress related hormone imbalance and gave me birth control pills to stop the bleeding.  I have taken 14 pills and still bleeding-how long does it take the pills to work and stop the bleeding?

They have had a reasonable amount of time to get into your system.  I'd talk to your doctor again or even see another doctor--especially if this one did not run blood tests or give you an ultrasound to look for an exact cause rather than just guessing/going by "feeling."
