The problem with antibiotics is that they work by interfering with cell replication. When a baby is concieved cell replication is the name of the game. That is why antibiotics represent a potential hazard to a developing fetus. That being said, the danger depends upon the specific antibiotic, the dose, and the duration. Ask your ob/gyn for an opinion.

We are going to move your post so you can get an answer about the birth control, but wanted to let you know that even though your treatment was for one day, you could still be infectious and your partner could still get chlamydia from you even though your treatment was finished. If this is the same partner you got chlamydia from, you should both talk to your doctors about being retreated.
