As a frequent birth control changer, I have seen some pros and cons to most types. I have tried the shot, the patch, the pill and I'm currently on the arm implant. Each had pluses.
If you are looking for a birth control where you will have a period every month, take the pill or patch.
If you are looking for something that you don't have to worry about every day/week, there's the shot. It's good, but my advice would be to understand that you need to take bone medication (just take a daily vitamin focused on bones you'll be fine).
If you are looking for a much longer term birth control (3 years), nexplanon (arm implant) is a good one. No worries about going to doctors office for shots, or the pharmacy for the pills/patches.
WARNING: Any type of birth control causes spotting. Nexplanon and the Shot are the ones that I struggled with when it comes to spotting.
I would suggest that you do your research and discuss all the effects with your doctor. While one person enjoys one type of BC, another person might disagree.
If not breastfeeding I love the patch. If breastfeeding the mini pill or the one they put in your arm thats good for 3 years.
