Cramps and spotting 18 days after period, my first month of birth control patch

I started the patch on the first day of my period, April 4th, I've worn it correctly and changed it at the same time every week. Im on my 3rd patch and it's been 18 days since I started the patch. Today I started getting period cramps at about 5 pm, 7:40 pm I experienced spotting (this has never happened before) the bleeding was light and brown and it only happened twice. I've been in pain since. I have had unprotected sex about 5 times since April 8th. Could my period be this early? Is it possible I'm pregnant while on the patch?
