Depo question?

I'm 18 and have had the depo shot before and it never gave me any problems (I was 16/17). I just got my first injection in October on the first day of my period. Well I wasn't expecting the effects to kick in so fast. I didn't get a period in november, so I was kinda worried. On top of me not having a period (which isn't really a problem), I've had cramps almost evey single day like I am about to start. And sometimes they hurt to where I don't wanna have sex with my fiancé. Is there something wrong with me? Can I get a lower dose of it or should I just switch to BCP? This never used to happen before.

Thanks. I'm not too keen on the idea of the nuva ring lol I have also gained a bit of weight so I think when I have to go back in January I will just ask for the pills instead. :) thank you

I was on depo for about 3 years and I know exactly what your talking about as far as the cramps. I actually ended up stopping it because not only was the cramping beginning to be unbearable, but I also gained about 40 lbs. just from being on the shot. I switched to the Nuva Ring and I have never been happier with any other form of birth control
