MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Birth control pills are very effective in preventing pregnancy if taken regularly and correctly. Start the pills on day 1 of your menstrual bleeding. If you start on days 2-5 during the first cycle a barrier method is recommended in addition for the first 7 days of taking the tablets. Take pills regularly and on same time every day. Withdrawal bleeding will occur while on placebo pills. Do not stop taking the pills without consulting a doctor. Do write to me again with more queries.
Best luck and regards!
