First month on Loestrin24, no spotting, no period so far

I have never taken birth control pills before. I'm 22, and before starting Loestrin, I had a very delayed period--about six to seven weeks. My doctor gave me a pill to take for a week to "jump start" my period. I took that for a week and about two days after I stopped taking it, I got my period, but it wasn't like my normal flows (non-birth control) -- it didn't last as long mostly, probably because the day I started that period, I began taking Loestrin. I've almost finished a pack. There's 4 placebo pills, and I took the second today. No sign of my period -- no cramping or spotting, etc. I haven't had any spotting at all since my last period.

Furthermore, I've never had sex, so there's not a real chance that I'm pregnant. (My now ex-boyfriend did finger me but if there was even a remote chance that he had sperm on his fingers--in the still unlikely event that would even get me pregnant--it would have had to have happened way back before Easter.) I took a pregnancy test about four-five weeks ago and it was of course negative.

I'm just worried about what's going on with my body. I have read that it can take a few months to get "regular" on birth control, but is it normal to have absolutely no bleeding at all during the first month? From what I've read, it is more normal to have some spotting during the month. If I don't get my period by the time the pack ends, should I start a new pack or wait? Should I even be concerned?

Amenorrhea (no period) is a side effect of oral contraception. It isn't as common as break through bleeding, but it IS a known side effect. Medications effect each person differently so you may experience very different side effects than I would. You should go ahead and start your new pack on schedule.
