Giving yourself your Depo shot

So I just spend almost 2 hours waiting to get my depo shot at my doctors office. I pick it up from the pharmacy and usually just do a walk in at my doctor and a nurse gives me my shot. I'm usually in and out in a half hour at the most. But today made me think that I should just give myself the damn shot and save a $15 copay and hours of my life. I already pay $60 for the shot itself. So does anyone here give themselves their shot or have someone do it for them? I am not scared of needles and have a high pain tolerance so it wouldn't be a problem but since depo is a muscular injection I don't want to screw it up.
