Help! My period isn't here yet. :(

by TheFairies, Dec 31, 2008 06:08PM
Alright, here's my story.

Sometime in October, I stopped taking Yaz birth control for a whole month because it was too much money. I went for a month to see if things would be any different. After noticing my acne was coming back and my periods were heavier, I decided to go back on it (my mom offered to pay for it. Go mom!).

Since November, I've been taking it. I had my period only once. Before my newest pack, I neglected to take it for a whole week. Once I remembered, I panicked and took all of the pills I missed at once (I probably shouldn't have done that).

In December, about a week and a half after that, I almost had intercourse with protection (we never finished. I was way too tight and it hurt a lot). Ever since then, I haven't had my period yet. I've been taking my bc everyday or whenever I remember it. I'm almost at the end of my current pack.

I have looked up all of the pregnancy symptoms and I haven't had any. The only thing I have are food cravings, but I get them ALL the time, no matter what! Weird, I know.

However, I'm still freaking out. I'm 18 years old and in college. Nobody knows I've had sex recently, not even my closest friends. The last thing I need is to be pregnant. Last time I had a pregnancy scare, I was a little late, but my period did come eventually.

Can someone please help me? :(

you are NEVER supposed to take a whole weeks worth of pills at once! thats 7 pills

you messed up your pills. you mess up your body. you mess up your periods.

if the last thing you need to be is pregnant you should have used condoms being that you cannot take your pills correctly and neglected to read your instructions prior to taking 7 pills at once.

birth controls not 100%
missing pills lessens the effectivness of birth control
you should always use condoms
NEVER take 7 pills at onec.
you got your period. your not pregnant

tell your mom to get you another type of birth control one that you wont use incorrectly and you wont have to worry yourself like this for 2 months.

if you think your pregnant take a test! thats the only way to tell. your 18..you know that. good luck in the future but i dont think your pregnant at all. but be careful next time

I did use condoms, as i stated above.

Like I said, I panicked and didn't think about it beforehand... I really wish I did.

So there's a chance that my body is just trying to adjust again?

i see. you said with protection....and you were only talking about december. in the parahgraph before that when you messed up your pills something horrible is where you need to be concerened. not to be concerned with having sex with condoms and birth control.

you didnt say you had sex wtih condoms all the time. you didnt say you were having condoms in nov when you messed up your pills. you only talked about decemeber...we used protection

"In December, about a week and a half after that, I almost had intercourse with protection (we never finished."...so after the incident you got so scarred you THEN started using condoms? so you dont get pregnant...again?

you messed up your pills and did not use condoms during that time (not after)...you run the risk of getting pregnant...but you said you got your period

no no no.... December was the only time I tried to have sex (first time in over a year). We didn't really go through with it, because I was too tight and it hurt me too much.

I've never had unprotected sex.

ok but you messing up your pills the month before lessens the effectiveness.

if you have never had unprotected sex (meaning always used a condom) and your on birth control.......your not pregnant and you have NOTHING to worry about

thank you. though, i am worried about the condom failing.

If i have been taking the pill regularly since, when should i expect my period to be normal again?

by Kim1989, Jan 02, 2009 02:48PM
condoms fail if they break or are the wrong size. neither was the case right...?

if your worried about condoms failing you should not be having sex at least til you understand how condoms work and how effective they are unless broken or too small....oh yeah or expired.

you period should be normal if your taking the pill correctly but not all women who take their bc correctly will always have a regular period

well, i started my inactive pills today. for a moment, i thought i had my period, but my body tricked me.

if you think your pregnant than take a test

by TheFairies, Jan 02, 2009 10:05PM
I might have to. I'm kind of afraid of telling people though.

by Kim1989, Jan 03, 2009 10:13AM
theres no reason to be afraid

Update: I've lost 5 pounds. Now I'm 105 lbs.

Is this a sign?

by Kim1989, Jan 04, 2009 11:24AM
no

by TheFairies, Jan 04, 2009 02:33PM
oh well. I'm back to 110 anyway.

I think I'm going to start my new pack of pills today.

by Kim1989, Jan 04, 2009 04:59PM
i told you before if you think your pregnant take a test. you need to kno that before you start taking a new pack. but until you figure that out.....dont have sex. but if you do then use a condom. and when you get back on the pill....continue to use a condom every single time

by TheFairies, Jan 05, 2009 12:11AM
i don't plan on having sex for a while. XD

by Kim1989, Jan 05, 2009 11:31AM

I have taken a test yet.

I've brown discharge come out since yesterday. I also notice my breasts are fluctuating. They feel firmer than usual, then return to normal later. However, no other signs of pregnancy have shown up. Is it possible to have pms symptoms and just miss a period?

I'm getting tested on Friday probably.

by TheFairies, Jan 08, 2009 01:18AM
*haven't... not have

by Kim1989, Jan 08, 2009 10:31AM
yes you can miss a period. if your younger then yes and birth control and really effect your period especially when you miss pills.

by TheFairies, Jan 09, 2009 01:12PM
I've also been having mood swings lately...

by TheFairies, Jan 11, 2009 10:44PM
I took a test today. It came out negative :)

by Kim1989, Jan 12, 2009 12:33PM

by TheFairies, Jan 12, 2009 08:12PM
lol. :) Well, I'm very relieved.

Funny story, after I got the results, my friend and I decided to play with the guy I was with.... and we made it look like I was actually pregnant and crying and stuff.... he bought it. The look on his face was priceless. XD

But I'm happy to know I'm not pregnant :) I'll just have to wait patiently for my next period.
