Help me please, is it Menstruation or Bleeding!

Please Read and Answer ASAP...

Hi Good Day and happy new year..

I have some queries about effect of miscarriage.

my wife got m/c last Nov. 14. After that she have been bleeding for 2 weeks.. i guess its normal.. and then it stops.. on dec. 16, she has bleeding again, we assume its his menstruation as expected to occur that weeks.. its moderate and becoming light until dec 23.. on that day, we decided to apply a family planning method to avoid any unwanted pregnancy. so we went to the health center the doctors check my wife if  what type of contraceptives we want and what suits for her.. and we choose pills, the doctor gave us "MICROGYNON" brand of pills..

on the same day, at night dec 23 2010, she started to take the pills.. and on the next day, we are amaze, why she have heavier menstruation.

on the following day dec. 25, its increasing.. until today , dec. 30 its very strong... she can full a napkin or pad 3-5 hours..

is it normal to have a menstruation for 2 weeks?

is the heavy menstruation possible, the effect of the pills?

is it normal to have a longer, (droplets on the first days and become heavier in the end) menstruation after D&C or Miscarriage?

is their an effect taking pills when you are anemic? because i remember after the operation of her miscarriage the blood test shows she has a low hemoglobin level but i guess its normal because she lost a lot of blood.. but i still suspect she is anemic because my wife is whitier and a little bit pale during the exam on dec. 23.

and lastly,

is their a possibility that she is suffering vaginal bleeding not menstruation?

my apology, to ask question here not to a doctor.. its because we are in a out of town vacation far away the cities for new year.. i dont want to end these moment for us... but when its dangerous and necessary, even on new years eve... we gonna seek medical attention..

tnx a lot for reading

Is she soaking a pad an hour?  Any clots?  Is she feeling dizzy?

The pill you were prescribed is a progesterone only pill which in many woman has the effect of heavy bleeding when first taken, so do not panic. Second, anemia can occur with heavy menstral periods but its not dangerously serious but does need to be treated. Iron supplements in the mean time can be of use until you make an appointment to see your doctor. Bleeding can last for up to 3, even more weeks during heavy periods or when first taking this pill, so the blood will eventually stop, I promise.
