IUD or Implant?

Which is a better option? What are some of your experiences? Don't want to be spotting forever after getting one of these.  I just want longer term birth control that I don't have to manage each day or every few months.  Please tell me expierences with these with pain, spotting, effectiveness, sex after, & getting preg after removal.
Thanks!

I can't speak for the arm implant but I've had the mirena and I didn't notice any side effects. It was the only thing that helped me with managing my heavy bleeding. So if my doctor gave me the choice of one or the other I'd pick the mirena because I know how it works for me. The arm implant was previously on the market under a different name and it got recalled due to problems. Then they redid something with it and put a different version of it on the market. I don't know enough about it to say whether it's good or bad.
