If I take my birth control pill a few hours late, is it less effective?

I recently became sexually active, now that I have, I want to be sure to always be responsible with my pill. I typically try and take it around 9:30 pm (I have an alarm set on my phone) but sometimes it gets pushed back to more like 11pm-1am at the latest. Is the pill less effective when I do this? Should I be being more consistent with the time? Thanks!

It depends on what pill you use. It usually says. Plan B you can use 72 hours after unprotected sex.
